On the 17th, BMW announced the addition of the "116i M Sport" and "120i M Sport" to its 1 Series lineup, with sales commencing the same day.

More Refined Exterior and Interior

The second-generation BMW 1 Series, which has seen the introduction of the 3-door model, M Performance model, and "xDrive" all-wheel-drive model in its home country of Germany,announcedis the only FR (front-engine, rear-wheel-drive) car in the premium compact segment, known for its direct handling and agile driving dynamics.
It also features environmental considerations such as an idling stop function.

Newly added to the 1 Series lineup in Japan are the "116i M Sport" and "120i M Sport." Equipped with exclusive features developed by BMW M GmbH, these models emphasize a more refined and dynamic styling while also enhancing driving dynamics.

The exterior features exclusive front aprons, side skirts, and rear skirts, complemented by 17-inch M light-alloy wheels.

The interior boasts sports seats for the driver and front passenger, with electric adjustment for side support to firmly hold the body during cornering. It also incorporates an M Sport leather steering wheel designed for a secure grip.

Furthermore, the cabin is enhanced with exclusive touches such as hexagonal cloth/Alcantara combination seats with blue highlights, aluminum hexagon interior trim, and BMW Individual anthracite roof lining, creating a sophisticated atmosphere.

In terms of chassis, the M Sport suspension is equipped, along with variable sport steering (with Servotronic) that variably controls the steering gear ratio according to steering input. This enhances agility on winding roads and straight-line stability at high speeds.

The color options include six choices, featuring the exclusive Estoril Blue. The price for the "116i M Sport" is 3.38 million yen, and for the "120i M Sport," it is 3.97 million yen.
