Peugeot Adds Sporty 'GT Line' Grade to RCZ

On July 1st, Peugeot Citroën Japan announced the domestic introduction of the new "GT Line" grade, featuring sporty interior and exterior equipment, to Peugeot's lineup. The coupe model "RCZ" will be the first to receive this designation, with sales commencing immediately.

The First "GT Line"

The newly established "GT Line" by Peugeot is a grade characterized by an exterior fitted with exclusive sporty parts and an interior accented with red stitching. For its inaugural appearance, the coupe model,RCZ"RCZ" was chosen. Incidentally, the second installment will feature the hatchback "308" and the station wagon "308SW."

The RCZ, known for its double-bubble roof and flowing exterior design,arrived in Japan.The 2013 faceliftgave it an even sharper styling. The powertrain consists of a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo engine paired with either a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission, with engine output and steering position varying depending on the transmission.

The RCZ GT Line features exclusive front grilles with emblems, logo badges, striking black door mirrors, and 19-inch large alloy wheels on the exterior. Inside, red stitching adorns the dashboard, black Nappa leather seats, and the center console, creating a sharp yet refined ambiance.

Body colors include four options such as Pearl White and Moroccan Red. Despite the addition of various sporty exclusive parts, the price increase over the base model is kept to a modest 60,000 yen. The right-hand drive 6-speed automatic is priced at 4,395,000 yen, while the left-hand drive 6-speed manual is 4,600,000 yen.
