A new face featuring the Spindle Grille

Previously, a single teaser image revealing only the outline of the front mask was released for Lexus's new mid-size luxury sports sedan, the "GS" series. While the dynamic design, described as "the embodiment of Lexus's new design philosophy," was evident even from that image, it appears that not only the exterior but also the interior and powertrain have evolved.

The exterior is characterized by a powerful front end featuring the "Spindle Grille," first introduced on the LF-Gh concept. While the LF-Gh used a complete single-frame grille, similar to Audi's design, the GS350 separates the upper grille from the lower grille, which flares out like a trapezoid and incorporates brake cooling ducts. The design creates a sense of a single line connecting the upper and lower grilles.

Hybrid and F Sport models also in the lineup

The powertrain is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces a maximum output of 228kW (306hp) at 6,400rpm and a maximum torque of 375Nm at 4,800rpm. With an updated "D-4S" direct injection system, it achieves world-class performance for its class.

The interior has been refined, particularly the seats, to enhance comfort. A notable feature is the addition of an analog clock to the instrument panel, a first for Lexus, positioned above a large 12.3-inch display.

Although detailed information is limited at this stage, it has been confirmed that hybrid and sports versions, the "F Sport," will be part of the lineup. Sales in Japan are scheduled for early 2012. We look forward to further updates.
