Maximum Output of 408 hp, Peak Torque of 420 Nm

The new apex of the 911, the "911 Carrera 4 GTS," has been born. Its powertrain is based on the 3.8-liter flat-six engine from the "Carrera S," with optimized intake manifolds. This boosts the maximum output by 17 kW (23 hp) to 300 kW (408 hp) at a high 7,300 rpm. The peak torque of 420 Nm is delivered across a broad range from 4,200 to 5,600 rpm, with 320 Nm available from 1,500 rpm. The powerful sound produced by the standard sports exhaust system further accentuates the unique character of the "911 Carrera 4 GTS."

Only the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission is offered. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 4.4 seconds for the Coupe and 4.6 seconds for the Cabriolet. Fuel consumption, measured by the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), is 11.0 l/100 km and 11.2 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 259 g/km and 263 g/km, respectively. For comparison, the Carrera 4S achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds for the Coupe and 4.9 seconds for the Cabriolet, with fuel consumption of 10.5 l/100 km and 10.7 l/100 km, and CO2 emissions of 247 g/km and 251 g/km. Considering the improvements in power, torque, and acceleration, its environmental performance is relatively well-contained.

PTM: Supporting Your Drive in All Conditions

The all-wheel-drive system is equipped with Porsche Traction Management (PTM), as before. PTM utilizes an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch that can actively vary torque distribution between the front and rear axles according to driving conditions. It also includes the Automatic Brake Differential (ABD) to enhance traction on wet, icy, or snowy surfaces, and the Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) to prevent wheelspin and ensure proper torque distribution between the front and rear.

The car features black-painted, center-lock RS Spyder design 19-inch wheels, a hallmark of previous GTS models, with the rear tires measuring 305/30 ZR19.

To distinguish it from its rear-wheel-drive predecessors, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS features several exterior design cues.

Beyond the logos and badges on the doors and rear hood, a reflective strap between the taillights signifies its all-wheel-drive capability. Additionally, a SportDesign front apron and black-finished side skirts enhance its agile appearance.

The interior also boasts exclusive GTS model features as standard, including sports seats with black Alcantara center sections, and specific trim for the steering wheel rim, shift lever, and parking brake.

Both the Coupe and Cabriolet versions of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS are scheduled to begin shipping from the factory in July, with worldwide distribution to follow.
