Achieving 143g/km CO2 Emissions

The SXC from Peugeot is a crossover concept featuring the Hybrid4 system found in the 3008.

The engine is the familiar 1.6-liter inline-four direct-injection twin-scroll turbo, producing a maximum output of 160kW (218ps). This is combined with an electric motor, bringing the system's total output to an impressive 230kW (313ps) to drive all four wheels. Environmental performance is, of course, also high, with a stated fuel economy of 5.8ℓ/100km (17.2km/ℓ) and CO2 emissions of 143g/km.

Its dimensions are 4,870mm in length, 2,035mm in width, and 1,610mm in height. A distinctive design feature is the suicide doors, which provide easy access to the rear seats. The cat-eye LED headlights, characteristic of Peugeot, and 22-inch wheels also serve as design accents. The taillights are boomerang-shaped and also utilize LEDs. Additionally, it is equipped with a rear camera and a two-piece panoramic glass roof.

The fact that the SXC was designed at Peugeot's Shanghai design center underscores the importance of the Chinese market. Following the recently introduced 508 and the new 408 from the 4 Series, the SXC is set to enter the Chinese market where the 4 and 5 Series are sold uniquely. This model represents a new direction for Peugeot, designed with Chinese customers firmly in mind.
