Supplies and Jeeps Provided for Disaster Relief
Chrysler Group LLC had already announced a donation of $200,000 (approximately 16 million yen) through the American Red Cross on March 18th. This time, Chrysler Japan will offer its own support to the disaster-stricken regions.
Chrysler Japan will send relief supplies, including approximately 2,400 daily necessities such as blankets and clothing, along with six Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara vehicles.
These Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara models are fresh from the release of their 2011 versions. While the interior and exterior designs saw significant changes, functional enhancements, such as the addition of Hill Descent Control, have improved stability on steep slopes and rough terrain.
The luggage compartment is configured with underfloor storage divided into two pieces at the front and one larger piece at the rear, allowing for efficient packing.
The mat is reversible: one side is carpet, while the other is made of rubber that is easy to clean, making it well-suited for rescue operations in rough conditions.
