Experience Virtual Road Conditions Rarely Encountered
"Virtual Drive" is a virtual test drive system uniquely developed by Jaguar Land Rover Japan. It is said to provide an experience akin to test-driving an actual car using a head-mounted display.
Footage of driving on race tracks, on-road, and off-road conditions from around the world was captured by six cameras. When worn, the 360-degree panoramic driving footage is displayed, and a head-tracking function that senses the direction and tilt of the face to follow the viewing angle of the video has also been adopted.

For the Jaguar brand, this summer will see the introduction of the mid-size new saloon, scheduled to arrive in Japan, called the "XE", while for the Land Rover brand, the SUV launched this April, the "Discovery Sport", will be used for the initial Virtual Drive content.
This Virtual Drive allows users to experience driving performance and off-road capability through virtual test drives under road conditions and environments that are not normally encountered. It is planned that the compatible models and content will be expanded in the future.
