A Special Edition to Celebrate 200 Years

Peugeot Citroën Japon will launch the special edition "207 envy" on November 18th to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Peugeot brand.

Premium Interior and Exterior Befitting the Occasion

Peugeot, renowned as one of the world's oldest automotive manufacturers, has been producing cars for over a century. Its origins, however, lie in gears, and the company is also known for producing pepper mills and bicycles. This year marks Peugeot's 200th anniversary, celebrated with the release of the special edition "Peugeot 207 envy." The 207 envy is based on the "Style 1.6," the entry-level model of the 207, Peugeot's best-selling model, but is equipped with features comparable to the higher-grade Premium model.

Features include a chrome front grille with fog lamps, body-colored side moldings, super-tinted rear side and rear windows, ESP, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking sensor, and "envy" exclusive emblems.

To further enhance the pop character of the base 207 model, the interior features a new combination of light gray and dark gray for the seat colors, with light gray also used for the seatbelts, creating a more casual feel. With approximately 200,000 yen worth of added equipment, the vehicle's base price is a reasonable 2.05 million yen, a 60,000 yen increase from the Style 1.6 base model. It is available only with right-hand drive in six body colors: Bianca White, Aden Red, Moroccan Red, Trium Grey, Obsidian Black, and Montebello Blue.

Furthermore, Peugeot Citroën Japon is offering a 50,000 yen purchase support incentive for the 207 envy, applicable to contracts or registrations made by December 28, 2010, to commemorate the brand's 200th anniversary. This effectively makes the car available for 2 million yen. Additionally, a special interest rate of 2.99% per annum will be applied to the "Peugeot Passport" (3-year and 5-year types), a partial-principal-deferred loan, for all new Peugeot models (excluding the "RCZ").
