The Flow of Time, Shared with a Car
A new creation, "Art Works," has been born at Lexus. This project aims to express the series of "flow of time" experienced when viewing, entering, and spending time in a car, through the medium of Lexus x Art. The collaboration was born from the alignment of Lexus's philosophy that "irreplaceable time is true richness" with that of the emerging Spanish designer duo, Stone Designs.
Under the concept of "Color of Time," the light changes throughout the day are expressed by coordinating the interior and exterior, and image colors: the IS represents morning (Fresh Blue), the RX represents daytime (Calm Red), and the GS represents dusk (Tender Brown).
Below is an introduction to each lineup.
RX350 RX270 | Midday Sun
With midday sun as the theme, the "RX350" and "RX270" feature two-tone seats with a vibrant red accent, reminiscent of the sun, against a beige background. The console upper panel is finished with a black clear coat, expressing the contrast of light and shadow to create a space that is both glamorous and serene.
GS450h GS350 | Dusk
The theme is dusk. The "GS450h" and "GS350" feature a deep orange on the outer sections of the genuine leather seats. The gentle brown of the leather combined with the outer orange creates a space reminiscent of the soft glow of a setting sun.
IS250 | Morning Light
The "IS250," themed around morning light, boldly incorporates a refreshing blue on the seats and steering wheel. The console upper panel features a transparent white finish, creating a crisp interior atmosphere that evokes the image of sunlight streaming through the windshield.
Starting August 26th, the "LEXUS Art Works Caravan," an exhibition event for the "Art Works" vehicles, will be held at 11 locations nationwide. The event will showcase the interior and exterior color coordination, offer hands-on experiences with the "Lexus Original Color App" for creating original color art on PCs and mobile phones, and feature colorful confectionery art by a patissier who became the first Japanese person to win a world championship in an international confectionery competition.
