Japan Premiere of the "3008 Hybrid4"


Peugeot Citroën Japon has announced the exhibition lineup for the Peugeot vehicles at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011.

Making its Japan debut at the Peugeot boothis the crossover model "3008 Hybrid4".This is the world's first mass-produced diesel hybrid passenger car. It combines a 2.0-liter HDi FAP engine with a maximum output of 163ps and a motor with a maximum output of 37ps, generating a total of 200ps. In terms of environmental performance, it achieves CO2 emissions of 99g/km. A key feature is that the driver can manually select the "ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mode" for driving in complete zero-emission conditions. The model is scheduled to go on sale in Europe from spring 2012.

The "508", which went on sale in July 2011,is Peugeot's new flagship model. This time, the "Griffe" grade, a high-end trim featuring exquisite Nappa leather for the interior, will be showcased. The leather color is a chocolate brown inspired by cigars, named "Cohiba." This model is also planned for introduction to Japan in 2012.

Peugeot's firstcompact sports coupe, the "RCZ",will be displayed in a special specification featuring a black carbon roof, a leather-clad dashboard, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The exhibited vehicle is left-hand drive and is powered by a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder engine (with turbocharger) that produces a maximum output of 147kW (200ps) and a maximum torque of 275Nm (28.1kgm).

The 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011 is being held from December 3rd to 11th at Tokyo Big Sight.
