Domestic Pricing Also Announced

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Porsche's flagship sports car, the "911" this year, a special limited edition model will be introduced. As we recently reported, reservations for the "911 50th Anniversary Edition" will begin on July 10th.



The first "911" debuted in 1963. To commemorate this, only 1,963 units will be produced worldwide. This special 911 is based on the rear-wheel-drive "Carrera S" with a 3.8-liter flat-six engine boasting 400ps, but it features the wider body of the all-wheel-drive model "Carrera 4". This wider body has led to an enlarged rear track, necessitating a dedicated setup for the "Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM)." Additionally, the interior and exterior are adorned with numerous exclusive features, including dedicated sports seats and aluminum wheels designed to evoke the image of the original 911, underscoring its special nature.

The "911 50th Anniversary Edition," for which reservations are now open, is announced to have its world premiere on September 11th at the2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.



It will be equipped with a 7-speed PDK transmission, and customers can choose between left-hand or right-hand drive. The price is ¥17,120,000.
