The Newest Cup Car from Porsche's Most Successful Model
A new sports model has arrived for the Porsche "911," which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Porsche AG has announced that the "911 GT3 Cup" will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, opening on March 5.
Over 820,000 units of the "911" have been produced since its debut, making it the world's most successful sports car. Arriving in this commemorative 50th anniversary year is a race car developed for one-make racing. The new "911 GT3 Cup" boasts a powerful output of 460 ps.
It will make its race debut in the 2013 "Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup," held concurrently with the European rounds of the F1 Grand Prix.
