The Maturing Gallardo

Debuting in 2003, Lamborghini's supercar, known by the nickname "Baby Lambo"GallardoFrom the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory, 13,000 units have been delivered to date. Contrary to its nickname, it has become the face of Lamborghini. While anticipation for the next model was high, especially with a tantalizing teaser movie released just before the show and the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Gallardo's debut and the company's 50th anniversary in 2013, it seems that anticipation was not met.



However, the Gallardo, now in its prime, has further enhanced its perfection with this minor change. The new Gallardo LP560-4 adopts a new design combining triangles and trapezoids, with redesigned front and rear shapes. Combined with 19-inch alloy wheels finished in the popular silver x matte black, its expression has become more refined and aggressive.



The engine remains the same as previous models: a 5.2-liter V10 mid-mounted. Paired with a full-time 4WD system, it delivers a maximum output of 560 ps. The engine cover's air outlets have also been expanded to improve heat dissipation. Additionally, the newly available "Style Package" option features black painted front lip spoilers and front/rear grilles, giving the Gallardo LP 560-4 a more powerful impression.



"With the introduction of this new model, the Gallardo family, consisting of six models, will each have clear differentiation, completing a lineup that meets the demands of all types of drivers," commented Lamborghini. Sales of the new Gallardo model will begin in November 2012.
