Volkswagen Passat CC (Part 1)
For those seeking new value
The CC, a new model newly added to the Volkswagen Passat lineup. We explore the appeal of this car, which the company has introduced into the new category of four-door coupes.

Two engine options: 2.0-liter inline-4 and 3.6-liter V6
The term "four-door coupe" might raise an eyebrow for those who know that a coupe originally refers to a two-door sporty car with a shortened body length. However, this category has been steadily gaining popularity in the luxury market. The "Passat CC," Volkswagen's first four-door coupe, is an elegant car with a wonderful ambiance.
The Passat CC comes in two configurations: the "2.0 TSI" (5 million yen) with a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged inline-4 engine and front-wheel drive, and the "V6 4MOTION" (6.02 million yen) which combines a 3.6-liter V6 engine with a full-time 4WD system.
What is the background behind the emergence of the stylish four-door coupe, the Passat CC? According to Volkswagen, consumer preferences in the sedan market have diversified. While four-door sedans were once chosen for their practicality, a market has now formed for those seeking new value, such as the combination of stylishness, sportiness, and practicality unique to sedans. This led to the bold styling of the Passat CC.

The Passat CC features a body as sleek as a two-door coupe. Its dimensions are 4815mm long, 1855mm wide, and 1425mm high.
Tires that won't puncture even if a nail gets stuck
In today's market, stylish design alone is not enough. Therefore, the manufacturer has incorporated electronic control into the suspension and steering systems, adopting the adaptive chassis control "DCC," which allows for three levels of ride comfort adjustment: Normal, Sport, and Comfort. This aims to appeal to a wide range of customers, from those who prefer sporty driving to those who favor a more relaxed experience.
Another noteworthy new technology is the "Mobility Tire," which remains puncture-proof even when a nail is embedded. This is standard on both the 2.0-liter inline-4 and 3.6-liter V6 models. Developed jointly with German tire manufacturer Continental, these tires have a special polymer resin coating on the inside of the rubber, which seals the nail and prevents air from escaping. Currently, it is exclusively used by Volkswagen.
While safety features are important, comfort features are also crucial for a car of this nature. The V6 model is equipped with a 600W, 10-speaker audio system from the renowned Danish audio manufacturer, Dynaudio. These features, along with the standard leather seats and wood-trimmed dashboard, create an interior that exudes both tranquility and luxury, enhancing the sense of exclusivity.

The interior offers a refined image, mirroring the exterior. It features ergonomically designed individual four-seat configurations.
