4.4-Liter V8 Twin Power Turbo Engine Now at 625 ps

"Mission: Impossible - Fallout" was released in Japanese theaters on August 3rd. With the latest installment in the series garnering increasing attention, including a visit from protagonist Ethan Hunt actor Tom Cruise to Japan in mid-July prior to the release, anticipation is high.

And the machines driven by the IMF agent team in the film's exciting car chase scenes are BMWs. Among the historical models appearing, such as the BMW "R nineT Scrambler" motorcycle, the "7 Series," and the 1986 "5 Series," the BMW "M5" driven by Ethan Hunt is equipped with special M Performance parts, showcasing exceptionally bold and radical performance.

This time, Ethan Hunt confronts the challenge of preventing simultaneous nuclear explosions in three cities worldwide, while also facing trials that affect his team and crises that befall his partners. The BMW M5, as the powerful machine that this physically and mentally tough protagonist manipulates as if it were an extension of his own limbs, possesses an irreplaceable presence.

Thus, the long-term partnership between Paramount Pictures and BMW has given rise not only to thrilling action scenes but also to a limited edition model of the BMW M5. This is the "BMW M5 EDITION MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE." Like the BMW M5 featured in the film, it boasts a Singapore Grey body, black kidney grilles, 20-inch M light alloy Y-spoke wheels style 789M, black mirror caps, and an M sports exhaust system, creating an exterior that evokes the movie model.

Moving to the interior, full Merino leather multi-function seats and M seatbelts are featured, with the deep piano finish black trim and the kick plates on the side sills subtly adorned with the "MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" logo. To further emphasize its individuality as a limited edition specification, an exclusive "MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" sticker can be applied to the B-pillar.

Furthermore, the special equipment of this EDITION MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE extends beyond the interior and exterior colors and features. The 4.4-liter V8 Twin Power Turbo engine has been enhanced to 625 ps, an increase from the standard 600 ps.

In other words, this vehicle is tuned to be approximately 25 ps more powerful than the BMW M5 driven by Ethan Hunt in the movie. The system that transmits this exceptionally special power to the road is, of course, the specially developed "M xDrive."

The "BMW M5 EDITION MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" not only recreates the world of the film's hero but can also be considered a special vehicle for top performers in the real business world. The vehicle price is 19.64 million yen.

Additionally, for those who wish to experience the film's world more casually, special edition "EDITION MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" versions are also available for six models in the 5 Series: the "523i," "523d," and "530i" sedans and touring models. These feature a Black Sapphire body color, matching black kidney grilles, and double-spoke light alloy wheels, creating a more refined exterior.
