This is Porsche's Answer
While based on the Porsche "Panamera," it introduces numerous innovations as a concept model,Stole the spotlight alongside the "911 Carrera 4" at the Paris Motor Show 2012Porsche's plug-in hybrid concept car, the "Panamera Sport Tourismo Concept." Externally, it resembles a wagon-bodied version of the Panamera.
The video showcases its driving dynamics and features commentary from Porsche designers discussing its design. In essence, it represents Porsche's approach as a sports car brand to integrating functionality into sports cars. The designers assert that sportiness and utility are not mutually exclusive.
Details regarding its powertrain have been previously reported. It employs a parallel hybrid system combining a supercharged V6 engine with an electric motor offering performance significantly exceeding that of the "Panamera S Hybrid" and "Cayenne S Hybrid." The combined system output reaches 416 ps, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 6 seconds. In EV mode, it boasts a top speed of approximately 130 km/h and a range of over 30 km, with an NEDC combined fuel consumption of 3.5 L/100 km. While this fuel consumption may not fully reflect real-world conditions for a concept model and plug-in hybrid, it represents an astonishing balance of environmental and dynamic performance for a vehicle measuring 4,950 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,401 mm in height.
The video states that this powertrain will be a crucial pillar of Porsche's future powertrain strategy.
This vehicle can be seen as a preview of Porsche's future direction.
