New 911 Cabriolet Models: Reservations Open November 30

Porsche Japan has announced that reservations for the new 911 Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera S Cabriolet will open on November 30 (Wednesday) at all authorized Porsche dealers nationwide.

Distinctly Cabriolet, Even with the Soft Top Up

The 911 Carrera Cabriolet announced this time was unveiled in September at theFrankfurt Motor Showunder the codename "991".new 911This is the cabriolet version of the new 911. Despite being a soft-top, it maintains the signature flowing roofline of the 911 and strongly emphasizes its cabriolet nature even when closed. Similar to the coupe model, it features a sportier design with a 100mm longer wheelbase and wider track.

The rear-mounted engine is the same as in the coupe models. The 911 Carrera Cabriolet is equipped with a 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing 350 hp (257 kW), while the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet features a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine delivering 400 hp (294 kW). Both are paired with a 7-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) transmission. Notably, there is no mention of the 7-speed manual transmission offered in the coupe.

Environmental performance is also excellent, matching the coupe models. According to Porsche, both models achieve less than 10 L/100 km under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC standards).

Pricing starts at 13.61 million yen for the 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 16.41 million yen for the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet, with both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations available.
