BUGATTI Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport | Announcing the "Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport"

An Ultra-Luxury High-Performance Open-Top

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Unveiled

French luxury sports car marque, BugattiBugattihas announced its new open-top model, the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. It will be officially unveiled on August 16, 2008, in Pebble Beach, USA.

Over 400 km/h, Limited to 150 Units, ¥253 Million

An open-top model with a removable roof is added to the Veyron 16.4. It features the same 8-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers inherited from the closed-top model. The formidable powerplant, boasting a maximum output of 1001 horsepower and 127 kgm of torque, is mounted at the rear. A unique point of the Grand Sport is the enhanced safety measures incorporated to accommodate its open-top configuration.

It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. For its top speed of 406 km/h, which is difficult to reach even on a circuit, it would be prudent to keep the roof closed.

When the roof is removed, it cannot be stored within the vehicle itself, meaning it must be left at home in the garage.

Pebble Beach, a resort town in California, was chosen as the venue for the unveiling of this ultra-luxury, high-performance open-top car. It makes its debut at the "Concorso d'Eleganza," considered the most prestigious classic car event in the world.
The day after the unveiling, the first unit, scheduled for production around spring 2009, will be put up for auction.

A limited run of 150 units will be released. In Japan, it will be sold through the general distributor, Nicole Racing Japan, with a price tag of ¥253 million.
