A Short Film Series in Four Parts
The "baby Lambo," the Gallardo, first appeared in 2003 and its production ended on November 25th. Over its 10-year run, a total of 14,022 units were produced, making it the most produced model in the company's history and accounting for nearly half of the marque's total production, estimated at around 30,000 units. It was a massive success.
While the Geneva Motor Show in March is the most likely venue for the next model's debut, as if to confirm the rumors, Lamborghini has launched a special website, the "Hexagon Project," to tease the arrival of its next-generation model.
Accessing the site reveals a start button, similar in design to the one found in the Aventador. Hovering over it opens the cover, and clicking it starts the engine. With a roar, you are taken to the movie site. Currently, three videos are available, with a total of four planned.
While it's best to discover the intriguing story for yourself, it follows three young people living in the UK as they attempt to infiltrate Lamborghini's Sant'Agata headquarters to obtain information about the new model. It's a thrilling, modern-day documentary-style film.
The fourth and final episode is yet to be uploaded. When it is released, fans and enthusiasts alike will be eager to see if the full picture of the next Gallardo, rumored to be named "Cabrera," will be revealed. For now, be sure to check out episodes one through three.
