Body Size Rivals the 7 Series

This new model, developed under the name BMW PAS (Progressive Active Sedan), boasts a sporty yet elegant exterior as its greatest appeal.

This design expresses the active lifestyle of its owner, arriving as a completely new genre of car that defies existing categories.

A key feature is its comfortable interior space. As the name suggests, the chassis is an early adaptation from the next-generation 5 Series, but the body measures a substantial 4,998mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,070mm, rivaling the 7 Series in size.

This has resulted in a vast interior space. Combined with the independent four-seat configuration, it offers passengers a comfortable and expansive environment. The generous ride height of 1,559mm ensures occupants feel no sense of confinement.

The luggage space, ranging from 570 to 1,650 liters, also provides ample room. It can accommodate the luggage of four adults for a trip, as well as plenty of outdoor gear. A novel feature is the two-stage hatch gate, which can be opened partially or fully. This is a convenient new mechanism for smaller loads, eliminating the need to open the entire large gate for quick errands.

The engine is planned to be a 3.0-liter inline-6 twin-turbo, available in both gasoline and diesel variants. Rumors also suggest a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo will be offered in the production model.

The official debut of this model is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show in March. It is expected to go on sale in November with a design largely unchanged from this concept.
