Want to Enjoy Watching with a Loved One as a Special Experience
Many people, like myself, have loved watching motorsports as much as driving since they were young. I used to travel to circuits all over the country, cheering for my favorite teams and drivers. But looking back, it's likely that many haven't watched anything but on TV for years.
We know it's fun to go. The atmosphere and sights you can only experience live—the piercing engine sounds, the smell of tires melting into the asphalt, the contrast between the nervous drivers and the race queens beside them.
On the other hand, there's the traffic jams on the way there and back, crowded grounds, long lines even to use the restroom or shop, and arriving at the final race feeling exhausted. While enjoying motorsports with friends, shouting and having fun amidst the crowds and noise is great, some people might want to enjoy watching with a loved one as a special experience. Especially adults...

Ready to Answer Any Question
"Lexus Amazing Experience" offers several programs for such adults, including this tour for viewing the SUPER GT, one of Japan's top motorsport categories.LexusWe participated in the viewing program for SUPER GT Round 6, held at FSW (Fuji Speedway), the home ground of Lexus.
The amazing experience began at 9 AM in the Platinum Room on the top floor of the main grandstand. After parking our car at the Fuji Lexus College within the FSW grounds, we boarded a dedicated shuttle bus. While enjoying light refreshments and drinks in a room overlooking the circuit, racing driver and familiar TV commentator Hideo Fukuyama joined us.
Without much preamble, he began his commentary, focusing on pre-race information such as, "What are the drivers and teams thinking before the final race?" and "With this temperature, what about the tires...?" He explained complex technical knowledge in an engaging way, making it enjoyable for both seasoned motorsport fans and newcomers alike.
Of course, it's not just about watching the race from above. During the pit walk, we visited the pit of LEXUS TEAM PETRONAS TOM'S as they made final adjustments before the race. Seeing the racing cars up close with their cowlings removed would excite anyone.
It's also interesting to walk down the pit lane and compare the differences between the teams' machines. Mr. Fukuyama accompanied us exclusively for the participants all day, ready to answer any question.
We also visited the pit of LEXUS TEAM SARD, where we got autographs from drivers Juichi Wakisaka and Hiroaki Ishiura and took commemorative photos. Perhaps this part was the most exciting for the female participants!?

Enjoying the Race with a Picnic Vibe
There was still time before the final race. "Lexus Amazing Experience" had also prepared a special lunch experience. A large, dedicated transporter set up near the Dunlop corner served as a special restaurant for participants. Under tents set up in front of the transporter, participants enjoyed a picnic-style lunch while watching the support races,PorscheCup races.
Although outdoors, the menu was sophisticated. Dishes made with ingredients sourced from the circuit's vicinity, rich in nature, were served, including marinated salmon raised in Fuji's spring water, confit of Fuji Highland Pork spare ribs, and Fuji Highland Beef aliata.
Circuits typically have special rooms for VIP guests, usually within buildings above the main grandstand or pits. Setting up a dedicated outdoor dining space is something I've only seen at overseas circuits. Offering such an experience at a Japanese circuit reflects Lexus's identity as both a Japanese brand and an internationally recognized one.
The program included a visit to the control tower. Seeing the numerous monitors displaying every part of the course and the timing systems offered a glimpse into the unseen workings of a race, intensifying our anticipation for the upcoming final.
In the future, when watching motorsports on television, if the control tower appears, I will surely recall the inside of that tower. That's the impact of attending in person. An experience isn't just for that day; it leaves a lasting impression.

A Different Way to Enjoy Motorsports
The final race was finally here. It started to rain, hinting at a dramatic turn of events. This program allowed participants to enjoy the final race from three locations: the Platinum Room, the grandstand at the first corner, and the dedicated space at the Dunlop corner where lunch was served. Furthermore, a continuously operating shuttle bus allowed free movement even during the race. Mr. Fukuyama busily moved between the three locations, providing commentary tailored to the unfolding race.
Many participants watched the start of the race at the first corner, where all cars dive in nose-to-tail. Afterward, some continued watching from the first corner, others meticulously observed from the Platinum Room while checking the timing monitors, and some enjoyed the battles at the Dunlop corner, where cars brake sharply from nearly full speed on the straight. Participants enjoyed the final race from their chosen vantage points.
The final race was a nail-biting affair with numerous incidents caused by the rain, including a spectacular crash right in front of the Lexus seats at the first corner. Ultimately, Lexus cars achieved a remarkable victory, finishing 1st, 3rd, and 4th. While "Lexus Amazing Experience" didn't control the outcome, the participants were clearly delighted with Lexus's outstanding performance.

"Lexus Amazing Experience" taught us a different way to enjoy motorsports. While it offers VIP treatment with excellent seats and fine dining, it also includes experiences like visiting the pits to feel the circuit's atmosphere, enjoying lunch outdoors as if on a picnic or day trip, and touring the control tower—an opportunity not usually available. The smiles on the faces of participants leaving with their souvenirs were not solely due to the Lexus team's victory.
