Mercedes-Benz Japan has released a special edition of the SLK200 BlueEFFICIENCY to commemorate the first anniversary of the compact, two-seater open-topSLK-Class Announcementmodel, the "First Anniversary Edition," featuring special equipment.

The Best-Selling Imported Convertible
The SLK-Class, a two-seater convertible, saw its third generation unveiled last May. According to Mercedes-Benz, it was the best-selling imported convertible in 2011.
The First Anniversary Edition is based on the SLK200 BlueEFFICIENCY Sports, which is powered by a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing a maximum output of 135kW (184ps). This special edition comes equipped with a trunk lid spoiler lip and 17-inch alloy wheels, which are standard on higher grades. Additionally, it features a VICS3 media navigation system, providing more detailed road condition information.
Priced at 4.98 million yen, it is 270,000 yen less than the base model. It is available only in right-hand drive.
