The World's Most Successful Racing Car

The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is a competition vehicle for one-make races such as the "Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup," a support race for Formula 1, and the "Carrera Cup" and "GT3 Cup Challenge" held worldwide, including in Japan. With over 2,200 units sold cumulatively, it is widely known as the world's most successful racing car. Currently, a total of 19 Porsche-branded race series are held in various countries, and the model announced this time will be for the 2012-2013 season. Furthermore, Porsche Motorsport will also offer the "911 GT3 R," which complies with GT3 regulations, and the "911 GT3 RSR," which complies with GT2.

The 2012 911 GT3 Cup is based on the production model "911 GT3 RS" and is powered by the same 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine, delivering a maximum output of 450 hp at 8,500 rpm. Emissions are said to be minimized through improvements to the catalytic converter controlling the exhaust system.

Features a 100-Liter FT3 Fuel Tank

To extend its range in endurance races, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup features an FT3 fuel tank with an increased capacity of 100 liters, and the fuel filler has been relocated to the upper part of the right front fender.

The suspension utilizes a combination of lightweight alloy wheels and Michelin racing tires, with front wheels sized 9.5J x 18 and 25/64-18, and rear wheels sized 12J x 18 and 30/68-18. Different specifications of wheels will be available for each race.

Additionally, the race cars for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are equipped with the "Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)" system, reducing their weight by 20 kg compared to the competition vehicles in the Carrera Cup and GT3 Cup Challenge.

Deliveries will commence in September, with prices starting from 161,750 Euros.
