My Skin Awakened with the “Tapping” Beauty Method!

Just two weeks ago, I was told about a beauty method with the promise, “Try it for two weeks, and your skin will absolutely change.” It’s a method called “tapping,” and it was shared with me by the manager of a certain actress.

The Manager and Actress Who Advocate “Training” the Skin Saw Real Results

I recently had a photoshoot with that actress for the first time in months. Her skin looked and felt so different that I casually asked the manager, “Your skin looks fantastic. Is it from a facial?” The reply came, “That might be part of it… but I think the biggest reason is that she taps her skin!” Tapping? What did that mean? Apparently, it literally means to pat your skin with your entire palm. Not just any patting, but a firm *pat-pat* as if you’re infusing moisture into the skin.

For example, after washing your face, instead of drying with a towel, you pat your skin until the water disappears. When applying lotion, you do the same, *pat-pat*, until it’s absorbed. The key is not gentle patting, but a strong *pat-pat* that echoes, with your palm hitting the skin perpendicularly. The manager stressed that it should feel like tapping, not rubbing.

“Wow, that’s interesting,” I listened intently. Beside me, a stylist who was also receiving the explanation murmured, “But don’t they say it’s best to avoid irritating the skin as much as possible? Is such strong stimulation really okay…?” The manager, not missing a beat, confidently countered, “Oh, but you can’t coddle your skin. You have to train it!” Hmm, both points had merit… Yet, the manager’s skin, who advocated this training method, was undeniably transformed, as was the actress’s, becoming plump and radiant. “This is a beauty method a certain singer has been doing since she was young,” the manager added. “That’s why her skin hasn’t sagged, even now.” Indeed, that singer, despite being in an age group often referred to as mature, still has firm, lifted skin. Furthermore, a certain famous ballet dancer also practices this method. Recalling her face, she too has remarkably taut skin. Therefore, I decided this was definitely worth trying!

My Thin, Delicate Skin Responded to Spartan Training with Renewed Vigor

That evening, I decided to try it myself. First, after washing my face, while water was still dripping, I began to *pat-pat* my skin! At first, I wasn’t sure how hard to tap, so I started with what felt like firm patting, but it didn’t make a sound. Remembering the manager’s words, “Your skin might get red at first,” I tapped harder. Finally, a satisfying *pat-pat* sound echoed through the room. Yes, this felt like the right intensity. As expected, my skin, surprised by the strong stimulation for the first time, turned red. But what struck me as odd was that, even though I was just infusing moisture after washing, my skin felt smooth and pleasant. Usually, after towel-drying, my skin would feel tight unless I immediately applied lotion… This might be good, I thought, and then moved on to applying lotion, *pat-pat*! Previously, I would apply lotion to a cotton pad and leave it on my face like a mask to let it absorb. This method, however, was far more effective for absorption. Plus, I used much less lotion than with a cotton mask, and my skin felt hydrated in no time. I hadn’t been told about this benefit, so it felt like a bonus.

For the first two or three days, my skin felt a bit unstable, but after that, the redness subsided, and my skin became plump and dewy. My thin, delicate skin seemed to have responded to the Spartan training with renewed vigor. Encouraged, I tried tapping after applying emulsion and cream, but that seemed to be too much stimulation for my skin. It appears that tapping is best done only after applying watery products. Then, the other day, on impulse, I tried tapping over a serum sheet mask, and it was a complete success! It absorbed better and was more effective than just placing the mask on my skin. I usually use two types of lotion—one for whitening and one for hydration. Including the moisture from washing my face, I tap for about 30 seconds each, totaling one and a half minutes. Considering that my skin improves in such a short time, this is a truly convenient and cost-effective beauty method.

It’s been exactly two weeks since I learned this beauty method. As I predicted, my skin has undeniably changed. I’m more of an action-oriented, experiential person who tries things that resonate with me rather than getting bogged down in theory, and this time, it proved to be one of those successful experiments. Of course, sometimes things don’t work out, but you never know unless you try. And even if it’s a failure, you gain knowledge that “this doesn’t suit me.” Still, when I mentioned this beauty method to an acquaintance, she replied, “I know, I know! I saw someone introducing it on TV the other day.” Oh dear, was I the only one who didn’t know…!?
