My First Realization of Carbonation's Effects Was in 2011

My fascination with carbonation began in 2011. The reason I remember the exact year so clearly is because I wrote about it in May 2011 in this very series (!)I wrote about it in this series in May 2011.— I wrote, “The effects were astonishingly good. My skin seemed to brighten and lighten. It also felt like my skin texture had improved.” (Excerpt). Reading this again reminded me just how surprised I was by the power of carbonation.

From then on, I was hooked on carbonation, andin my column two months later, I mentioned installing a “Microbubble & Artificial Carbonated Bath System: Awaizumi” in my bathtub.Initially, such devices were used in hospitals for diabetic patients with poor peripheral circulation in their extremities, but this product was developed for home use in bathtubs.

As with the mist treatment mentioned earlier, the effect of carbonation is to improve blood circulation and boost metabolism. This, in turn, promotes the elimination of waste products, enhancing skin clarity and hydration.

The bathtub version, which can be used on the entire body, offers detoxifying and warming effects. These benefits can help regulate blood pressure and alleviate symptoms like stiff shoulders and atopic dermatitis. Such effects are quite familiar to us living in a country rich with hot springs, aren't they?

While I was satisfied with these effects, unfortunately, the mist treatment's cartridges were compact and convenient, but they ran out of carbon dioxide quickly. I also found myself increasingly disusing it due to the hassle of disposing of the large metal canisters.

I still love and regularly use the carbonated bath system (a different model now), but it requires placing a machine and a gas cylinder in the bathroom, which is somewhat inconvenient and takes up space.

I longed for something I could use easily and conveniently just for my face, and I thought, “If that’s the case, why not create it myself!” and decided to make it for my own brand.

The most distinctive feature of this mist lotion is its high-concentration, specially formulated^※1dissolvable carbonated^※2water. Of course, I wasn't just looking for the fundamental health and beauty benefits of carbonation; I also wanted potent cosmetic effects.
