Reset Your Skin and Mind's Summer Fatigue with Frankincense!

Beauty oils are among my favorite skincare products. Among them, my top picks are those containing frankincense. Simply put, I guess I just love frankincense.

The Product That Introduced Me to Frankincense

Frankincense is said to be an "anti-aging essential oil" for its ability to promote skin cell growth and aid in skin regeneration from wrinkles, sagging, UV damage, or injuries. I also love its calming, soothing aroma that brings a sense of peace. So today, I'll introduce my favorite oils that contain frankincense.

First is "Neal's Yard Remedies Facial Oil F" (top left in the photo), which led me to discover frankincense. This is one product from their full line of skincare, including lotions, creams, cleansers, and more. It's a beauty oil blended with eight types of plant oils, including omega fatty acids 3, 6, and 9.

After applying toner, take about two drops into your palm, warm it, and then apply. It absorbs smoothly into the skin, leaving it hydrated! While it works well on its own, those new to frankincense might find they better appreciate its benefits and effects by using the entire line.

I Use It While Bathing

In the center of the photo is "La Nuit Douce Face Beauty Oil F," produced by aroma therapist Chiyoko Kusakabe. This oil features a rare ingredient, "Hojari," meticulously selected from frankincense resin harvested in the desert of Dhofar in southern Oman, renowned for its supreme quality.

It not only offers skin benefits like firmness and elasticity but also boasts a powerful relaxing aroma. I recommend applying it to your neck or hands and inhaling the scent when you feel stressed during the day. Alternatively, you can apply the oil and then place a warm, damp towel over your face for a pack. It leaves your skin radiant and glowing.

I personally enjoy a "makeshift steam towel pack" by wetting a towel in the bath, wringing it out lightly, and placing it on my face. This product was also featured in OPENERS' Beauty News (http://openers.jp/article/797353), so I encourage you to read that as well.

An Oil That Made Me Reappreciate the Power of Plants

On the right is "SHIGETA Golden Drops." This oil is a blend of 10 plant oils, said to care for dullness and lead to transparent, firm skin. What's truly remarkable is how it visibly tightens pores. I was so impressed by its immediate effect that I've come to deeply appreciate the power of plants all over again. It has a slight tingle, which feels quite pleasant.

The recommended way to use it is by mixing it with SHIGETA's "Princess Rose" beauty oil. However, I use it unconventionally: after applying either Neal's Yard Remedies or La Nuit Douce oil to my entire face, I apply a single drop of Golden Drops to areas where pores are a concern.

Around this time of year, skin and minds begin to feel the effects of summer's toll. Why not find solace in frankincense?
