Donates 1,500 Hand Creams to Healthcare Professionals in Japan
WELEDA, the organic skincare brand with a presence in 50 countries worldwide, has donated approximately 1,500 mini hand creams to the Yamamoto Memorial Medical Group (Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City) and the Japan Association of Midwives, as a gesture of support for domestic healthcare professionals responding to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Yamamoto Memorial Medical Group comprises the Yamamoto Memorial Hospital, five clinics, three outpatient rehabilitation centers, two visiting nursing stations, and a care support office. The donation is intended to support the skin care needs of the physicians, nurses, caregivers, rehabilitation staff, and administrative personnel working on the front lines.
Additionally, through the Japan Association of Midwives, products were also provided to midwifery associations in various prefectures. This support aims to protect the skin of midwives dedicated to the care of pregnant and postpartum women.

Beyond Japan, WELEDA has provided support in various forms to healthcare professionals, police, and Red Cross staff responding to the coronavirus in other countries as well.
In France, 35,000 masks, 15,000 medical gloves, 3,000 medical gowns, 1,000 WELEDA shower gels, and 600 hand creams were donated to medical institutions in the Grand Est region, which has been severely affected.
In the UK, over 20,000 products, primarily "Skin Food," WELEDA's signature all-over body moisturizer, were donated to ICU staff at multiple hospitals on the front lines of the COVID-19 response.
In Italy, hand creams, body creams, and face creams were donated to the Italian Red Cross and several hospitals.
WELEDA intends to continue providing maximum support to healthcare professionals moving forward.
