Artistic Scents, Natural Ingredients, and Environmental Consideration
CIRE TRUDON opened its doors on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris in 1643, the year Louis XIV was crowned King of France. Initially selling spices and other goods, the shop also began crafting handmade candles for locals. Their exceptional artisanal skill soon gained recognition, leading to their appointment as purveyors to the French royal court. Since then, the brand has been cherished by French royalty and numerous churches.
Incidentally, the brand's logo features the coat of arms of Louis XIV, a testament to its royal patronage.
Handmade candles, crafted using traditional methods and techniques, utilize only carefully selected natural ingredients, including plant-based and beeswax. Made with harmless components, they produce no soot or smoke, making them environmentally friendly. The glass vessels, handmade by skilled artisans in Vinci, Italy, are designed to gently diffuse fragrance when lit.
Furthermore, the elegant and rich scents, inspired by historical eras such as the glamorous aristocracy, Belle Époque, Industrial Revolution, and Dadaism, are captivating. Each fragrance is represented by an icon illustrated by Laurence Moinot.
At Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 5F, Bed Bath Decor, a curated selection of items from this historic candle brand, with over 350 years of heritage, will be available.
To commemorate the launch, customers will receive a cameo-shaped aroma wax as a gift. This offer is limited to 100 units and will end once supplies are depleted.
Additionally, the new "Scented Matches," designed to enhance the artistic appeal of candles, will be launched.
These elegant, long-stemmed matches feature the scents of five popular candles. Beyond their use for ignition, simply leaving a box slightly open will release a subtle fragrance, making them a delightful room freshener.
