DIPTYQUE Aoyama reopens on Friday, August 30, 2024. The boutique, featuring playful touches in its diverse color palette and materials, is said to express the originality and poetic sensibility that have characterized the Maison since its founding.

Located just a two-minute walk from Omotesando Station, DIPTYQUE Aoyama is nestled in a quiet alley off Aoyama Dori. The boutique has now reopened, inheriting the spirit of Diptyque's original store at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, with the aim of further conveying the Maison's charm.

From the iconic fragrance candles representing the Home Collection—featuring floral, woody, spicy, and herbal notes—to fragrances and body care, each collection is curated to allow visitors to experience Diptyque's world, aesthetic, and products.

The boutique's exterior is designed to be iconic, with a beige facade contrasted by graphic motifs and bold colors that harmonize with the signature Bordeaux-hued shades. A striking feature is the monumental fresco on the wall to the left of the facade.

Stepping inside from an entrance approach inspired by Japanese gardens reveals a world apart. Furniture and objects have been chosen with care to tell a story, with dark wood flooring, wood paneling, painted walls, and beautifully colored furnishings creating a sophisticated atmosphere.

The first floor blends the charm of Parisian interiors with traditional Japanese decorative elements, where moldings, often found in Haussmannian apartments, coexist with the wooden interiors characteristic of Japanese design. In front of the central wood-paneled pillar stands a red, mirrored mood table, adding a unique touch to the serene interior.

To the right, against a plaster wall, are oak bookshelves displaying the Home Fragrance Collection, including the olfactory herbarium and candle collections, and Les Mondes de Diptyque. To the left, a space is dedicated to Art of Gifting.

The left side, with its striking dark-toned walls, is dedicated to Diptyque's body care collection, L’art du soin. It features a wooden sink and oval mirrors, alongside glass shelves displaying body care products. Adjacent to the L’art du soin space, stairs lead up to the bright second floor, characterized by white walls and large windows shaded by traditional blinds.

The second-floor rooms are adorned with landscape paintings, and the fragrance collection is displayed on wooden shelves. Beyond them, a sofa by designer Fred Rigby and a floor lamp by Isamu Noguchi are placed on a tatami-style rug.

Behind the central wooden pillar, a wooden dining table with four chairs and vintage pendant lights create a warm ambiance throughout the room. To the left, behind a wooden door, lies a kitchen crafted from wood and Japanese green marble. An abundance of decorative items adorns the dining table and shelves, making this floor a fitting embodiment of the Maison's esprit.

To commemorate the reopening, a limited quantity of the "Choose Your Own Eau de Toilette 7.5ml Set of 3 (¥11,000 including tax)" will be available, allowing customers to select three favorite scents from a choice of eleven. Additionally, from Tuesday, September 3rd to Monday, September 30th, customers purchasing Les Essences de Diptyque will receive a complimentary engraving service for their fragrance bottle, with options for personalized messages, initials, or names.
