Santa Maria Novella Tisaneria Ginza x The Bouquet: Special Tea Gathering and Lecture
Savoring the Culture and Arts Beloved by Noblewomen
A special tea gathering and lecture focusing on the flowers and herbs cherished by Catherine de' Medici, who traveled from the Medici family in Florence to France in the 16th century to become the Queen of France, will be held on Thursday, May 13th, at Santa Maria Novella Tisaneria Ginza.
The Culture and Arts Beloved by Noblewomen: The History of Catherine de' Medici and Herbs

The special tea gathering and lecture will be led by maco INOUE (Masako Inoue), a floral designer and the director of the salon "The Bouquet." She will discuss the historical context of the Renaissance, the era in which Catherine de' Medici lived, and the culinary culture and table artistry that incorporated herbs.
Also appearing will be Hiroaki Aoi, the manager of Santa Maria Novella Tisaneria Ginza, who holds the qualification of "Professional Advisor of Herbs."
On the day, guests can enjoy not only herbal teas and traditional sweets but also take-home herbal teas and a small floral arrangement gift designed by maco INOUE at the end of the event. As space is limited, early registration is recommended.
