“Face Art” by a Princess Descended from the Ottoman Empire

Yazbukey hails from a lineage that ruled Egypt for centuries under the Ottoman Empire, even gifting the obelisk in Paris's Place de la Concorde to Napoleon. Her creations, born from her "Yaz Kingdom," are celebrated worldwide for their feminine, playful, humorous, and sophisticatedly pop style.

The modern-day princess, Yazbukey, honed her unique and glamorous style at Studio Berçot, a renowned fashion school in Paris, and through experiences at the houses of several prominent designers. Her work, featuring sculptural necklaces and motifs of lips and eyes, as well as bracelets made of Plexiglas, is like a treasure trove of playful wonders.

This collaboration with shu uemura incorporates Yazbukey's signature witty lip and eye motifs, unfolding a story where four friends, each with a distinct personality and charm, simultaneously fall in love with a man named Shu Shu.

A Collection Celebrating Love, Friendship, and Beauty

Yasuyoshi Utsushi, shu uemura's Artistic Director, comments: “Makeup is about bringing out individuality. Individuality has many facets. Together with Yazbukey, we have created four iconic women. Choose the image you like and enjoy makeup as you would choose your clothes. You are sure to discover a new facet of your charm.”

The first artist collaboration of 2015 from shu uemura, the “Yazbukey for shu uemura Collection,” features a limited edition of 34 items, ranging from cleansing oils to makeup, launching on Saturday, March 21st (public holiday).
