Oriza L. Legrand, a historic maison de parfum founded in 1720 by the family of Jean Louis Fargeon, perfumer to Marie Antoinette and a purveyor to the royal court since the era of Louis XV, will be available at Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 1F Cosmetics/Fragrance from Wednesday, February 26th.
Since its inception, this venerable brand, which held royal warrants from the courts of France, Italy, Britain, and Russia, and served as the official supplier of toiletries and fragrances to Napoleon III, was brilliantly revived in 2012 by two Parisians. All seven fragrances in the collection are reissues of scents created in the early 1900s, artfully reinterpreted for the modern era. The brand is garnering attention as a fragrance house that blends vintage charm with the very latest trends.
The "Oeillet Louis XV Eau de Parfum" shown top left creates a smooth olfactory experience through the harmonious fusion of contrasting notes, such as powdery and peppery, silky and spicy. This fragrance, a tribute to Louis XV, Oriza's most esteemed client, is a revival of a scent originally launched in 1909.
