SHISEIDO's New Headquarters Opens with Inaugural Program

SHISEIDO, which advances various initiatives under the corporate message "A moment. A lifetime. Beautiful.," will hold "Japan Original Beauty ~An Exhibition of Hair and Makeup Artistry Inspired by the "My Declaration of Blooming" Corporate Advertising Series and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure"~" as its new headquarters' opening program, embodying this corporate message.





The exhibition presents beauty proposals through the beautiful lives of contemporary Japanese women, representing "A moment. Beautiful.," alongside innovative hair and makeup artistry inspired by Japan's world-renowned "MANGA." Ten portraits of beautifully living women will be displayed, including those of Keiko Kishi and Christel Takigawa from the "My Declaration of Blooming" corporate advertising series photographed by Nobuyoshi Araki, currently serialized in "Bungeishunju," with the addition of newly shot portraits of Emi Takei.

Additionally, SHISEIDO Beauty Top Specialist Tadao Harada has created original hair and makeup artistry inspired by characters from Hirohiko Araki's "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" (Shueisha). These works, announced at a photo exhibition in March, garnered attention for their high quality. For this exhibition, three new characters have been added, showcasing a total of 19 pieces born from Harada's refined sensibility.

On Tuesday, October 8th, a talk event with Tadao Harada will be held, featuring guests Toru Koike, a photographer active in the fashion and beauty fields, and Tsuyoshi Takahashi, a stylist. This stimulating session, where professionals from various fields discuss "beauty" from their unique perspectives, promises to be an excellent opportunity to refresh one's sense of aesthetics.
