VAARA: Penhaligon's Majestic New Fragrance, Beloved by Maharajas
Modern, vibrant──Inspired by Jodhpur, a desert city in India's Rajasthan, the fragrance "VAARA" will be available for pre-order on September 11 (Wed.) at Isetan Shinjuku and Mitsukoshi Ginza, and the Penhaligon's online store, with a nationwide release on September 18 (Wed.).
Vaara was originally created exclusively for His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II, fulfilling his wish for a fragrance that would express his deep love for Jodhpur, and the strong bonds of family and land. Master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour captured the world of the Maharaja and Jodhpur through the scents of beautiful flowers found in the vibrant, sun-drenched city and the Maharaja's gardens.
The fragrance opens with a delicious blend of coriander, carrot seed, creamy saffron, and juicy quince. Two exquisite roses then elegantly unfurl with Indian magnolia, joined by freesia and iris. Finally, it settles into a sweet, sensual base of honey, white musk, benzoin, tonka bean, cedarwood, and sandalwood.
VAARA Eau de Parfum [50ml] ¥13,650, [100ml] ¥19,530
