Natural Skin, Slightly Defined Brows

──The CHANEL 2012-13 Cruise Collection was unveiled under the soft May light. What was the inspiration behind this collection's makeup?

The inspiration for this makeup look comes from the collection's theme, "Versailles." The makeup is characterized by "pink," positioned between "girly" and "rebellious."

For the eyes, I used "Ombre Essentielle Rose Favorite" (scheduled for special limited edition release in 2012), and for blush, "Joues Contraste Rose Petale." I applied the beige eyeliner "Le Crayon Khôl Clair" to the inner lash line and slightly defined the brows.

I kept the skin looking natural. I wanted to avoid a look that resembled historical figures. For the lips, I used "Rouge Coco Shine Evasion" for a soft pink hue. To complete the makeup, I added a black velvet CC logo on one side of the face, below the eye and on the high cheekbone, like a beauty mark.

Just before the show, I added a touch of delicate highlight with the compact highlighting powder "Mouche de Beauté" (scheduled for special limited edition release in 2012). The eyeshadow, highlighting powder, and velvet CC logo were all specially created for this show.
