Introducing the Ultimate Hydrating Skincare Line Bearing the Developer's Name

The concept behind Dr.Saito Therapeutics is 'skin cleanliness and hydration'.――The DRS series, an ultimate hydrating skincare line named after Dr. Ryozō Saito, who suffers from dry, sensitive skin due to atopic dermatitis, has debuted. Three basic skincare items, particularly suitable for dry, combination, and sensitive skin types, are now available.

Why is 'Hydration' Essential for Skincare?

Hydration is indispensable for skincare because cleansing, which is necessary for 'skin cleanliness,' strips away the moisturizing factors that keep the skin hydrated. Without subsequent hydration, the skin becomes dry. Therefore, 'hydration' is necessary.

Dr. Ryozō Saito, the head of development for the Dr. Saito Therapeutics (DRS) series, states, 'The primary purpose of skincare is 'skin cleanliness,' with secondary importance placed on hydration to prevent dryness. However, today's skincare seems overly focused on trendy cosmetic ingredients, losing sight of the fundamental skincare objective: replenishing lost moisturizing factors. As I also cleanse my face, my direct motivation for creating this skincare line stems from my own experience as a consumer who couldn't find products that satisfactorily met my hydration needs.'

Cleanse Without Fear of Post-Wash Dryness

Mr. Saito explains, 'I have had an allergic constitution since birth and suffered from atopic dermatitis from childhood. It was precisely because of my allergies that I encountered functional medicine in the United States, though this was much later in my medical career. During my childhood and adolescence, I had to manage my atopic dermatitis with 'standard treatments.'
This skincare line was born from the methodology of functional medicine, which derives optimal solutions from the fundamental principles of life sciences. I believe these products, while entirely new, are simple and fulfill the fundamental objectives of essential skincare. The fact that I have lent my own surname to the line should convey my commitment.' Thus, Mr. Saito has commercialized the skincare method he arrived at through his experience with atopic dermatitis.

'DRS Lotion' pursues the hydration expected of a skin lotion, formulated with a ceramide concentration beyond the norm for lotions and ideal levels of hyaluronic acid. It prevents skin dryness, softens the skin, and keeps it healthy. It is suitable for all skin types, especially recommended for dry and sensitive skin, and can be used even on babies.

'DRS Peeling Wash' is a mild peeling facial cleanser that overcomes the conflicting challenges of cleansing power and post-wash tightness. It is perfect for those who want to improve their skin texture through clinic peels but lack the time to visit.

'DRS Special Cream' contains 'Salicornia Herbacea Extract,' which can only be harvested in Hokkaido and Northern France. It refines skin texture and keeps the skin healthy. Furthermore, by sealing the skin with cream, it protects the skin, replenishes moisture and oil, and maintains skin suppleness.

What Daily Habits, from Diet to Relationships, Should Be Reconsidered?

Dr. Ryozō Saito's latest book, 'Chronic Illness: A Fundamental Cure Through Functional Medicine,' authored by the head of development for the Dr. Saito Therapeutics (DRS) series, will be published by Kobunsha Shinsho on Thursday, October 15th.

Functional medicine is a next-generation medical approach that aims to achieve complete cures for complex chronic lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and hypertension by addressing their root causes, minimizing reliance on medication. This comprehensive introductory book is written by Dr. Saito, the first Japanese individual to obtain certification as a functional medicine practitioner.

Dr. Saito recommends, 'I would like people aiming for better health, medical professionals such as doctors, everyone involved in food, and even students seeking to learn a scientific perspective on cause and effect to read this book.'
