The Timeless Allure of "JOUES CONTRASTE"

An indispensable item in CHANEL makeup, "JOUES CONTRASTE." Housed in its iconic, legendary jet-black square case with a gentle curve, this cheek powder has captivated many women with its silky-soft texture, CHANEL's signature creativity that blends with any skin tone, and the subtle scent of rose that lingers on the cheeks. It has enhanced every look created by CHANEL. This year marks the 30th anniversary of "JOUES CONTRASTE."

And this autumn, Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of Makeup, has created four bold new shades as an homage to "JOUES CONTRASTE," the "face" of CHANEL's cheek color.

Launching are "ROSE TENTATION," a gentle soft rose that imparts a subtle flush to the cheeks; "PLUM ATTRACTION," an impactful plum rose that brings feminine elegance; "PINK EXPLOSION," a fantastical and spirited fresh pink; and the Asia-exclusive "PINK CLOUD." Created by Peter Philips, who deeply understands how much the allure of a face depends on the impression of the cheeks, these new shades enhance feminine roundness while increasing in radiance with a smile. Furthermore, the autumn/winter makeup is also conceived around "JOUES CONTRASTE." Lively cheeks, emphasized eyes, and natural, dewy lips—all colors resonate with the cheeks to complete a beautiful, harmonious autumn expression.

Regarding the visual's makeup, Peter Philips commented as follows:

“The trick to defining contours is
to apply a touch of blush to the tip of the chin.
In this look, I combined
three JOUES CONTRASTE shades.
This is to achieve an effect that brings both
a natural skin radiance and sculpted facial features.”
