Fragrances Inspired by Japan: "HAIKU," "No.31," "KI"

All ingredients used by MIRKO BUFFINI FIRENZE are natural and extracted from plants. After resting for 75 days, they are blended by perfumers. The fragrances, perfectly described as "masculine, cool, elegant, yet inviting," quickly gained a following after their debut. Today, they are stocked in 150 high-end boutiques and perfumeries across Italy. The brand is available in 30 countries worldwide and has now launched in Japan.

The collection features 12 unisex fragrances, with KI, KLITO, and MO XI also offered in versions tailored for women. Notably, many of these scents draw inspiration from Japan. For instance, "HAIKU," the brand's best-seller globally, is named after the Japanese poetic form. Evoking Matsuo Basho's famous haiku about a frog jumping into an old pond, it captures the serene beauty of water splashing in silence with a refreshing white floral aroma. "NO.31," the first fragrance launched, was inspired by the Tanka, a Japanese poem form of 31 syllables.

"KI" expresses the inner energy of "Ki" (氣), reflecting a deep respect for Japan. It opens with the bright scent of pink pepper, like the morning sun, and unfolds into a captivating blend of magnolia, musk, and vanilla, creating an aroma that makes one anticipate the night. "MU" embodies the concept of infinite "Mu" (無), or nothingness. Starting with bergamot, its base notes feature the soft scent of Tuscan olive wood, making it popular with both men and women. "MO XI" is particularly favored by women in Asia, offering a sensual composition that tantalizes the senses with a subtle hint of Japanese sake.

The fragrances are available at UNREAL REAL CLOTHES in Fukuoka and doo-bop in Shiga, among other select retailers. They will also be launching soon at Kapok in Tokyo.
