A "Vintage" in the Fragrance World

GIVENCHY Premium Fragrance "Amarige Premium 2009"

<First Impressions | Items to Watch in August!>
The heat and humidity are relentless, making it hard to lift your spirits. While keywords like "refreshing," "cooling," and "crisp" might appeal, the fragrance I'm introducing today is quite the opposite. Launching on August 13th (Friday), this limited-edition fragrance, "GIVENCHY Premium Fragrance 2009 Amarige Premium 2009," is available only for a short time. Let's take a closer look!

A Fragrance Crafted from Flowers Harvested in a Special Terroir in 2009

From the perspective of Westerners who treat fragrance as "part of their body," the light scents we typically prefer might not be enough to define our "individuality." However, with "GIVENCHY Premium Fragrance 2009 Amarige Premium 2009," launching in August, you can truly express your unique self. This is because the flowers used in this fragrance are truly special..

GIVENCHY Premium Fragrance is now in its fifth year, akin to a "vintage" in the wine world. The "2009" designation signifies that it's "made from flowers harvested in a special terroir in 2009." This year's vintage collection features three types: "Very Irresistible," "Amarige," and "Ange ou Démon," each built upon the original scent's structure and reinterpreted. Among them, I particularly admired "Amarige," with its luxurious mimosa fragrance.

The mimosa used in "GIVENCHY Premium Fragrance 2009 Amarige Premium 2009" was harvested in February 2009 in the Margerie Valley, a region in Grasse, France. Remarkably, this area experiences temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius in January, but in February, it enjoys minimal rainfall and abundant sunshine, allowing the mimosa to bloom in full glory. The southwest-facing valley benefits from the mild Mediterranean climate, making it ideal for mimosa cultivation. However, mimosa blooms for only a few days, and the harvest season lasts less than a month. This scarcity underscores the special nature of these mimosa flowers.

A Scent Warmed by Your Body Heat, Enveloping You and Becoming Your Signature

Centered around the slightly sweet, powdery scent of mimosa bathed in sunlight, the fragrance is enhanced by the light transparency of mandarin leaf and neroli, complemented by the softness of precious woods, leading you into a state of blissful enchantment. It possesses a sweetness that is healthy rather than childish, exuding femininity without being overly sexy, resulting in a truly captivating aroma.

Fragrance subtly changes depending on the wearer, which is precisely why it becomes a personal signature. For a "signature scent," applying it directly to the skin is recommended. However, if applying to the wrists might be inconvenient during meals, try applying it to pulse points on your lower body, such as the ankles or behind the knees. Warmed by your body heat, the fragrance will gently envelop you, becoming your unique scent.

Although it launches in the height of summer, it doesn't feel heavy or cloying, and it will undoubtedly be a perfect companion as the autumn deepens and you seek a more sophisticated allure. Limited-edition fragrances based on the raw materials themselves are likely unique in the perfume world. This rare and precious fragrance is definitely worth checking out!

A word from my hometown, Tosa!
“My, the mimosa smells so wonderfully rich and luxurious. Since it's mimosa harvested in a special place in a special year, you'd better hurry and buy it before it sells out! I want to feel more feminine with this in the fall.”

Awarded for its uplifting and enriching fragrance that leads to happiness with mimosa.
