Ultra Boost Core Black/Core Black/Gold Met
Features a new heel counter for Achilles tendon freedom. The carefully shaped external heel counter cradles the heel, adapting to Achilles tendon stretch during toe-off. The ultra-thin, lightweight sockliner conforms to the runner's foot form, offering a custom-fit feel.
Comfort is delivered by BOOST™ foam and adidas' proprietary Primeknit upper, which adapts to foot shape changes. It provides a snug fit while creating a stylish look.
The new TORSION® SYSTEM is integrated into the midfoot, controlling pronation (foot twisting motion) for improved landing stability and control, enabling smoother heel-to-toe transition.
With its latest technology integrated into a sleek design, the Ultra Boost is suitable not only for running but also for daily style.
Traditional midsoles primarily used EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate). BOOST™ foam consists of individual E-TPU [Expanded TPU particle foam] beads, trapping micro-uniform air bubbles. These small energy capsules expand and connect, delivering superior shock absorption and energy return compared to conventional materials, consistently across time and environments.
The Ultra Boost is engineered to maximize the performance of BOOST™ foam. Its most advanced feature is the newly developed Stretchweb outsole.
The outsole features a grid pattern: coarser where cushioning is needed and finer where energy return and stability are required. This adapts to BOOST™ foam deformation and foot movement, maximizing cushioning while ensuring smooth transitions and high energy return and stability. During toe-off, the lug shapes push the BOOST™ foam upwards, providing runners with unprecedented propulsion.
The urban running festival "BOOST TOKYO NIGHT," held at Roppongi Hills Arena on February 28th (Saturday), is a new type of running event that expresses the energy generated by running in Ultra Boost through digital technology and music.
At "BOOST TOKYO NIGHT," acclaimed DJs including Takkyu Ishino will energize the venue with music. A talk show with special guests and a performance by freestyle footballer Koutaro Tokuda will also be featured.
