CURATOR’S CUBE | Second installment features artists from Kagoshima Gallery

<strong>Shoji Morinaga</strong><br />Woodworker. Born in 1976. After working as a carpenter and furniture maker, he became independent. In 2007, he established his workshop and shop, "Crate," in Kagoshima. He currently produces original woodwork and custom furniture. He has held numerous solo exhibitions both in Japan and abroad, including at Playmountain (Tokyo), dieci (Osaka), and tortoise (Los Angeles). In 2012, he received the Encouragement Award at the Takaoka Craft Competition.<br />http://www.crate-furniture.net
<strong>samulo</strong><br />In 2007, Kazumasa Miyamoto established the jewelry brand "samulo." He opened a directly managed store in Kagoshima. In 2012, he launched the jewelry brand "semeno."<br />http://www.samulo.com
