The new A3 Sportback features a high-quality, modern exterior design using Audi's latest design language.
The A3 Sportback's front face, with its Singleframe grille and LED headlights, clearly expresses Audi's current design.
The wheelbase has been extended by 60mm to 2,635mm, and the overall length increased by 35mm to 4,325mm.
The engine in the "1.4 TFSI" is a 1.4-liter direct-injection turbo, producing either 90kW (122ps) or 103kW (140ps).
The "1.8 TFSI quattro" is equipped with a 1.8-liter direct-injection turbo that produces 132kW (180ps).
The interior is simple yet features a high-quality finish. With a dashboard made of soft-touch materials and refined switches, it embodies the familiar Audi quality.
The circular air vents, a design motif from the previous model, create a sense of continuity. This familiar design element will surely be appreciated by returning Audi owners.
The 1.4-liter engine is paired with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and front-wheel drive. The "1.8 TFSI quattro" features a 6-speed S tronic and Audi's renowned quattro all-wheel-drive system.
While the 6-speed S tronic in the "1.8 TFSI quattro" offers a similar feel to the 7-speed, its stronger torque provides a more sustained acceleration.
The evolved MMI (Multi Media Interface) allows for quicker, more intuitive operation of everything from navigation to entertainment. The top of the push-button controller features a touch-sensitive panel that recognizes handwritten characters and numbers.
The new "Audi connect" icon now appears on the menu screen.
In addition to the standard map display, "Google Earth" view is also available.
The MMI navigation's extended functions now allow for Google image and Street View integration.
Audi connect provides access to information on "weather," "gas stations," "online news," "parking," and "flight information."
The SIM card slot is located in the dashboard. "Audi connect" is an optional feature with a 3-year contract with SoftBank. The dealer handles the setup during vehicle registration, eliminating the need for owners to contact the carrier separately.
With the rear seats folded down, the luggage capacity expands from the standard 340 liters to 1,220 liters. This is a significant advantage over the previous model's maximum of 1,120 liters.
