NISSAN LEAF | The Fourth Installment

NISSAN LEAF A clear blue sky, unseen for some time, spreads out overhead. Departure at 9 AM.
NISSAN LEAF As we drove on the Shuto Expressway, Odaiba came into view on our left.
NISSAN LEAF On the Bayshore Route, we passed through an industrial zone that looked like a movie set.
NISSAN LEAF We soon arrived at our first charging point, Daikoku Pier Parking Area.
NISSAN LEAF The rapid charger was located at the far end of the parking lot, with no signs to guide us.
NISSAN LEAF We plugged this nozzle-type rapid charging connector into the EV to charge.
NISSAN LEAF The Leaf was also ready.
NISSAN LEAF Once we started, charging turned out to be very simple.
NISSAN LEAF After plugging in the rapid charging connector, we just pressed the start button on the charger.
NISSAN LEAF While charging, another silver Leaf pulled up beside us.
NISSAN LEAF The charging indicator lights, blinking and turning off, show the charging status.
NISSAN LEAF With EV charging, there's no worry about gasoline spills or dirty hands.
NISSAN LEAF Charging at 400 volts and 7.5 kilowatts brought the range back to over 100 km.
NISSAN LEAF On the Yokohama-Yokosuka Road after charging, we tried accelerating to nearly 100 km/h.
NISSAN LEAF We continued on the Yokohama-Yokosuka Road, heading towards the Miura Peninsula.
NISSAN LEAF Exiting at the Mabori Kaigan Interchange, we were greeted by a coastal view lined with palm trees.
NISSAN LEAF Driving along the coast after passing through a tunnel, the Yokosuka Museum of Art building appeared on our right.
NISSAN LEAF Upon entering the underground parking, we spotted a blue sign that read "CHARGING POINT."
NISSAN LEAF Following the arrows, we parked the Leaf in the charging spot.
NISSAN LEAF Once the charging connector was inserted straight in until it locked, we were ready.
NISSAN LEAF The museum is currently hosting the exhibition 'Shiki Masaoka and Art'.
NISSAN LEAF The interior of the museum felt wonderfully open.
NISSAN LEAF Circular windows were placed throughout the museum.
NISSAN LEAF It opened in April 2007, four years ago.
NISSAN LEAF After enjoying the art, we had a seafood-centric lunch at the museum's Italian restaurant, Acquamarina. ©Yokosuka Museum of Art
NISSAN LEAF Facing the rooftop plaza, the blue sea and sky stretched out before us.
NISSAN LEAF During our pleasant two-and-a-half hours, the charge increased from 70% to over 90%.
NISSAN LEAF We took a commemorative photo with the Kannonzaki Lighthouse, a symbol of Kannonzaki.
NISSAN LEAF We headed north along the coast on Route 134.
NISSAN LEAF Across the sea, Mount Fuji was visible.
NISSAN LEAF Here too, we took photos of the Leaf with the coastline as a backdrop.
NISSAN LEAF In the parking lot where we stopped for photos, there was a sign indicating "EV" and "50% Discount."
NISSAN LEAF Continuing north on Route 134, we aimed for Zushi City this time.
NISSAN LEAF Our third charging point: Zushi Kikuchi Taxi.
NISSAN LEAF It was here that we encountered an "EV Taxi" for the first time.
NISSAN LEAF Charging at 400 volts and 7.6 kilowatts increased the range to 126 km.
NISSAN LEAF Nowhere but Sajima, a weekly villa in Sajima. ©Chiaki Yasukawa
NISSAN LEAF Standing near the window, it felt as if we were floating on the sea. ©Chiaki Yasukawa
NISSAN LEAF From inside the building, you can see Mount Fuji and Enoshima. ©Chiaki Yasukawa
NISSAN LEAF Sajima is a hidden gem in Yokosuka, relatively unknown to tourists. ©Nowhere resort
NISSAN LEAF This location is equipped with Tesla rapid chargers in its parking lot.
NISSAN LEAF As our journey neared its end, we headed for Kamakura.
