CEATEC JAPAN 2011 | Nissan's Vision for the Smart House Gallery

CEATEC JAPAN 2011 A smart house powered by electricity supplied from a Leaf via a PCS. In the demonstration, the Leaf's power alone was sufficient to supply the residential space.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The PCS is planned to be much more compact when commercially available.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The residential space of the smart house "NSH-2012." It features a monocoque structure that eliminates pillars, with the exterior panels bearing the load.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 A tablet PC displaying instantaneous power consumption within the home. It allows users to see at a glance where excessive electricity is being used.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The interior uses thinned cypress wood and lightweight, rigid honeycomb paper.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The HEMS, which controls household power, utilizes NTT Docomo's technology. Remote operation via smartphones is, of course, also possible.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Toru Abe, Chief Product Specialist, Product Strategy & Planning Group, Zero Emission Business Unit, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., who was involved in the development of the Leaf and oversaw the development of the PCS.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The "ZERO" smart community, in which Nissan participated this time.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 The base is the Nissan New Mobility Concept, a two-seater electric vehicle developed by Renault. A demonstration experiment began in the Yamate/Motomachi area of Yokohama on October 15th of this year, and for the second phase starting November 17th, participant recruitment will open on the website from October 17th. http://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/ondan/ympz/pm.html
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Fujitsu's "self-sufficient power" technology, while generating only a small amount of electricity, shows future potential.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Generating power using temperature differences by attaching chips like the one shown to the body.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Also at the Fujitsu booth, a high-output lithium-ion capacitor was on display. As a capacitor, its charging and discharging speeds are fast, making it unsuitable as a replacement for electric vehicle batteries, but it is an interesting technology. The vehicle on display could travel 35 km on a 1-minute charge.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Smart grids are already a reality, with experiments using Fujitsu's technology being conducted in the Kansai region.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 Sumitomo 3M's see-through solar power generation film, which can be shaped freely. As the power generation film is organic, it is intended for indoor use. Unlike conventional solar panels, it does not require direct perpendicular sunlight, offering high flexibility in installation environments.
CEATEC JAPAN 2011 It also offers high heat shielding, with the display demonstrating the ability to keep the indoor temperature more than 15°C lower than the outside temperature.
