Series: TOKYO PREMIUM BAKERIES | Part 24: Boulangerie Ichy Gallery

Boulangerie ichi Generous and popular sandwiches. Seven to eight varieties are always available, such as the pictured "Avocado and Bacon." Made with soft, easy-to-eat ciabatta. Available from opening time. ¥449 each.
Boulangerie ichi "Baguette" made with Hokkaido flour, its natural flavor brought out through long, low-temperature fermentation. Uses a homemade liquid natural yeast starter from flour, plus a tiny amount of yeast. Scheduled to be ready from opening time. ¥199 each.
Boulangerie ichi "Spelt Country Bread" made with spelt, an ancient grain that is a precursor to wheat. High in moisture with a chewy texture. Scheduled to be ready from opening time. ¥1500 each / ¥399 for 1/4.
Boulangerie ichi At Boulangerie ichi, you can also choose from sweet treats like "Raspberry Tart" and "Chocolate Tart." According to Ichimae-san, "They're hearty baked goods, just like you'd expect from a bakery."
Boulangerie ichi In addition to bread, they also offer a wide selection of quiches. Many ingredients that pair well with wine are used, such as cheese, olives, dried fruits, and nuts.
Boulangerie ichi The customer base is incredibly diverse, from children to adults. Ichimae-san is particularly touched when elderly customers become repeat patrons who love Boulangerie ichi's bread.
Boulangerie ichi The nearby new establishment, "Patisserie Traiteur ichi," has a cafe and is so popular with female customers for lunch that it's always full. By the way, "traiteur" is French for "delicatessen."
Boulangerie ichi Beautiful and delicate cakes made by the patissier at "Patisserie Traiteur ichi." At the new shop, you can enjoy French home-style deli items, cakes, baked goods, bread baked by Ichimae-san, and cafe lunches. It's a currently buzzing spot in Nishi-Magome.
Boulangerie ichi Ri Ichimae, who loves wine and holds a "Wine Expert" qualification. "I aim for a future vision of a bakery where you can get not only bread but also deli items and cakes, and eventually enjoy wine as well."
Boulangerie ichi A clean storefront with a black and white theme. The atmosphere is welcoming, even for men.
