Exterior of the building housing "Tagui Shokudo." Designed by the owner's wife's architectural firm, it received the Good Design Award in 2015.

Counter seating for two. While you can converse with the owner here, he's generally a man of few words.

The "Three Musketeers" of pickles: nukazuke, small horse mackerel nanbanzuke, and soy-marinated egg yolk. The pottery is by Kokuji-yaki.

The small decorative items and indirect lighting on the counter contribute to the ambiance.

Reservation tags and menus

The cashier. Orders are managed and calculations are done using an iPad.

A brass lock on the restroom door. A clear design where information appears graphically in the semicircular window.

They are using the "Clock A" by Takata Lemnos, designed by Tsunoda himself.

The charming owner couple. The wife helps out at the restaurant after finishing her work at the architectural firm.
