Art Project "VISION in MOTION" Focuses on the Perspectives of Female Artists | CURATOR’S CUBE Gallery

<strong>Ava Woo Kaufman</strong><br><br>Ava Woo Kaufman lives in Point Reyes, California, where she grew up, with her partner, Sun An. She is a photographer, designer, and musician, as well as the designer of her own fashion brand, "Buena Vista." After studying art at UCLA, she worked in the fashion industry, launching "Buena Vista" in 2013. Her clothing, crafted with meticulous attention to natural materials, evokes the air and landscape of the region where she lives. She also produces soundtracks with Sun, showcasing her diverse talents.
<strong>Bari Ziperstein</strong><br><br>An artist based in Los Angeles. Growing up in Chicago, surrounded by product and architectural design from a young age, she earned bachelor's degrees in art and women's studies from Ohio University. Through her design label "BZIPPY & CO.," she expresses ideas inspired by architectural movements like Brutalism, Finnish design, and the California desert, primarily through ceramics. She creates vases and lamps by assembling ceramic pieces.
<strong>Cathy Callahan</strong><br><br>An artist based in Los Angeles, whose collections focus on accessories made from natural materials such as indigo and hemp. One of her signature pieces is the fringe necklace, dyed in exquisite shades of indigo through meticulous hand-dyeing. She continues to create, valuing California-made materials, people, and the environment, skillfully incorporating both new and old techniques.
<strong>Jessica Niello</strong><br><br>A ceramicist and painter based in Oakland, California. Proficient in both Eastern and Western techniques, she pursues functional beauty and simplicity, drawing inspiration from the scenery she observes daily and the transitions of everyday life. Recently, she collaborated with the popular Oakland noodle bar "RAMEN SHOP" to create tableware. She is actively exhibiting, including a group show, "The Possible," at the Berkeley Art Museum.
<strong>Silvia Song</strong><br><br>Born in São Paulo, Brazil, and raised in Los Angeles, Silvia Song once aspired to be an architect. She worked as a designer for a global firm, moving between the West and East Coasts. After earning a Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley, she moved to the suburbs. She calls herself a "Wood Potter" and passionately creates forms using natural wood, applying her ceramic sensibilities. Her work ranges from wooden bowls to art pieces, and her simple, functional style reflects her architectural background. She hand-finishes every step, carefully sensing the unique characteristics of each piece of wood.
