It features a dial inspired by the annual rings of a great tree, symbolizing the founder Kintaro Hattori's philosophy of "always staying one step ahead of the times" and the brand's evolution. The watch is powered by the newly developed, next-generation Spring Drive movement, Caliber 9RA2, housed in an 18K pink gold case.

The dial, inspired by the annual rings of a great tree, boasts a unique and dynamic pattern. Achieved by widening the height differences of the traditional打ち模様 (uchimoyou - stamped pattern) and applying fine linear brushing to hundreds of curved wood grain grooves, it creates a striking visual. The deep dark brown dial forms a beautiful combination with the warm, lustrous 18K pink gold case. Applied indices, meticulously carved from 18K gold, emit a delicate and beautiful radiance, while the SD (Special Dial - indicating the use of solid gold indices) mark at the 6 o'clock position further highlights the model's exclusivity.

The Zaratsu-polished case, free of distortion, emanates a harmonious brilliance. The deeply grooved indices and the three-dimensional hour and minute hands, enhanced by a strong contrast for improved legibility, ensure exceptional visibility. The case is designed to sit low on the wrist, providing a comfortable fit and enhancing wearability.

This timepiece is the first to feature Grand Seiko's next-generation Spring Drive movement, Caliber 9RA2. While offering the same performance as the innovative Caliber 9RA5 introduced in 2020, the power reserve indicator has been relocated to the back of the movement. This allows for a lower hand-setting position, enabling a thinner case. Visible through the case back, the blue steel indicator hand complements the serene aesthetic, evoking the "Shinshu Frost Finish" inspired by the frost-covered trees seen in the Shinshu region during the harsh winter.
