Among Longines' diverse collections, the "Longines Spirit" most strongly inherits its history with aviation. A new titanium model has now been added to this popular collection.
The case is made of Grade 5 titanium, containing aluminum and vanadium. Grade 5 titanium, which offers both lightness and durability, is characterized by a slightly darker hue and a matte texture compared to stainless steel. Combined with skillful craftsmanship and a satin polish finish on the case and bracelet, it creates a modern impression.
The anthracite black dial is sandblasted, and its combination with the satin black flange further enhances the watch's beauty and exquisite atmosphere.
While the dark tone color evokes the rocks from which titanium is derived, the indices, hands, and five stars gleam in gold, creating an appealing cool color contrast with the black. By omitting the date display, this timepiece achieves an even more refined design.
The movement incorporates a silicon balance spring, which is lightweight, resistant to magnetism and shocks, and less susceptible to temperature variations. It is equipped with a chronometer-certified movement by COSC (the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).
Two types of bracelets are available: a titanium bracelet and a NATO-style nylon strap, both interchangeable with a single touch. The nylon strap, matching the dial color, is woven using special techniques for comfort, while the titanium bracelet offers a sporty yet stylish look.
