A New Interpretation Inspired by Bauhaus Design from Alain Silberstein
The collaboration between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein, which generated significant buzz in the watch industry in 2019, returns with even more power. This release marks the second installment, the "Triptych Limited Edition."
This collaboration reimagines the Day-Date, Regulator, and Monopusher Chronograph – iconic models within the Triptych series – through Alain Silberstein's artistic approach, resulting in captivating and powerful designs.
Alain Silberstein commented on this collaboration: "Watch design is the pursuit of harmony. Much like an orchestra rehearsing until perfect harmony is achieved. These watches were created to awaken something within us. My work is only complete when the people who wear these watches smile. This project was only possible because Louis Erard granted me complete creative freedom."
A common feature across these new models is Alain Silberstein's signature Bauhaus-inspired hands. Yellow, blue, and red are assigned to the seconds, minutes, and hours hands, respectively, creating a vibrant display against the matte black dial.
The first model, a Day-Date, features a unique "smile" indicator for the day of the week at 6 o'clock. Instead of indicating the actual day, it humorously expresses the emotional journey from the end of the work week to the anticipation of the weekend.
The second is the Regulator, an iconic model for Louis Erard. This new interpretation by Alain Silberstein, distinct from the 2019 collaboration, features a unique case form combining micro-blasted Grade 2 titanium and polished Grade 5 titanium, offering a delightful contrast in finishes.
The Monopusher Chronograph model allows for start, stop, and reset operations through a single pusher integrated with the crown. The 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock features a red hand for enhanced legibility.
As with previous releases, these new models are produced in a limited edition of 178 pieces worldwide. Of these, 78 sets will be housed in a special presentation box, offered as a collection that includes a limited edition certificate, a USB key granting access to a message from Alain Silberstein himself, and a signed artwork.
